29/04/2012 ...........Sunday Sermon:

ACCEPTABLE OFFERING AND SERVICE .

When many people decide to bring offering to the house of God, especially in this modern times, they bring dirty notes that even market women or bus conductor cannot collect, to God, some bring torn notes, and other bring gifts that are not worthy of the almighty God, while some say they are serving God meanwhile, they come to the house of God only when they want something from God, and some come only on sundays because it is their protocol, now offering and service to God must be of acceptable standard, and the standard is of God's, those that meet God's standard in terms of offering and service, will be greatly blesses, there are alot of biblical examples that proves this. Jesus for instance served God by giving up His life for mankind, and the bible said He was rewarded with a seat at the right hand of God the father., and no one should come to the presence of God empty handed.

For in it thou camest out from egypt; and none shall appear before me empty. . (Exodus 23:15b)

Some people sometimes come to the presence of God with a doubtful heart, they believe He can not do everything, and for that reason their worship is not wholehearted, only those that are spiritual enough to worship God in spirit will be able to tap into His incommensurable grace, and it is in His grace that all those that are blessed receive blessings, so as believer we can no longer afford to worship God in flesh, because the flesh has no gain, and when we offer offerings to God in the flesh it will be stained with blemish, hence becoming unacceptable. lets us read these bible passages (matthew 5:17, psalm 50:1)

But the hour cometh, and now is, when true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth; for the father seeketh such to worship him, God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4: 23-24)

Your service to God must be exemplary, it must not be done with laziness, or sentiments, when we come to church late, because we have a prayer request, because it is our protocol, or when we dont have anything else to do, then our service is selfish, but for our service to be acceptable we must come to God with His love in our heart, we must serve Him in truth and in spirit, we must dedicate our time to serve Him,

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man has, and not according to that he has not (2corithians 8-11)

May the lord bless His word in our heart, and make us love Him more and more. Amen

04/03/2013 ............SERVE GOD WITH JOY.

Shout in triumph to jehovah, all ye people of the earth, serve jehovah with rejoicing, come in before Him with a joyful cry, know that jehovah is God, it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves, we are His people and the sheep of His pasture (psalm 100;1-3)

We need to serve God with joy through dancing, singing, thanksgiving, and good deeds, we should not serve Him like we are being forced to, because He has not done anything for us, if we look around us there are all kind of evil happenning, but if you are reading this sermon then God has and He is still Good to you.If we lose our joy because we are going through some problems we might end up having a bad health, and that would not mean the problems will go away, but when we serve God with joy even in the face of these challenges, God will answer our prayers and put solutions to all our problems. shout in triumph to jehovah. all you people of the earth be cheerful and cry out joyfully, and make melody(psalm 98;4).When we come into the house of God we should be of good cheer irrespective of what we are going through, we should look well, dress well, and be of our best behaviour, and as a child of God, our problems should not make us behave like a sadist, or make us start lashing out at our friends, neighbours, or the community, because everyone has one thing or the other that stands as a challenge to them but through it all we are more than conquerors, we should also give cheerfully to those in need around us, and support the work of God with our resources, because everything we have, He gave us so we should joyfully serve Him with our resources. If i were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof (psalm 50 :12). God owns everything especially the world as a whole, and to whom He pleaseth He giveth the fruits thereof, God can raise up, and pull down with no effort, so no matter how much we worry, struggle, or work hard if we do not serve God in joy, and make Him happy towards us we might not be able to receive the blessings He has purposed for us, Because God dwells in a joyful environment, and no sadist or pessimist can attract God's presence, and anywhere God is not, His blessings will not be there, so lets us change our mentality, and in all we do lets not be worried, infact be happy, because whatever a man sow he shall reap, sow happiness for you to always reap happiness. God bless you, and may the joy of God be with you, and never depart from thy dwelling. BY Rev.(Dr) G.A. Koledoye

11/03/2013 ............TITHE IS A KEY THAT CAN OPEN BLESSINGS & CAN ENABLE CURSE .

Verily i say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven(mattew 18:18)

We are children of God, the sheep of his pasture, and for this reason He gave us the authority to be able to get anything here on earth, because God our father owns everything, and whatever a father owns belong to the children, but even better it belongs to the obedient children that does the will of the father, because the disobedient children are automatically cut off from their inheritance .The payment of our tithe is a commandment God has laid down since time immemorial to ensure that there is food in His house and his temple is not devoid of good things, and who are those that He commanded to bring tithe into His house? it is His children, the way children take care of their father's house we are also supposed to take care of the vineyard of God, and one of the best way to do that is by paying our tithes. Will a man rob God? yet ye have robbed me, but ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? in tithes and offering (malachi3;8).Tithes must be removed from all our incomes, e.g salary, allowances, profits, e.t.c if we do not pay our tithes, we are simply calling for the curse of God upon our lives, because there is no way that a thief will be allowed to go scot free, and anyone who refuses to pay his/her tithe is a thief and hence will be punished by the curse of poverty, and you will readily agree with me that poverty is a sickness that can send an entire community into an early grave, it break families, turn friends against each other, and put sadness where there is joy, so we need to avoid it at all cost, and to do that we must pay our tithe with a cheerful heart, since God delights in a cheerful giver, we should not act like we are forced or sad when bringing tithe and offering to the house God, after all God owns everything, and out of the plenty He gave us that we are bringing the few 1/10th, so let us bring our tithes with a gladsome mind. For I the lord love judgement, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting convenant with them (isaiah 61;8).

19/03/2013 ...........A WOMAN AFTER GOD'S HEART (MOTHER'S DAY SERMON) .

And now, my daughter, fear not; i will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtous woman(Ruth 3:11)

A woman after God' heart is someone who will allow God to lead her on the right path, she is someone that will above all love God, then her family, she would always be of good character irrespective of her environment, her financial situation, and her health condition. The book of proverbs makes us to understand that God owns every heart, including that of kings, and He would direct it to where ever he wants, so as christians God expects us to commune with Him regularly, because that is the only way we can endear ourselves to Him, and always be connected to His amazing grace. God wants to be at the center of our hearts, and His presence in us makes it possible for us to demonstrate loving kindness to people around us, As the hart pantent after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, o God (psalmi42;1). A woman that supports others, and reachout to people in need with a Godly mind definitely desires God's presence at all times, because if we claim to love God and do not love our neighbours we are simply deceiving ourself. God will always be happy with a woman that cares for the household of God, thereby encouraging the kingdom of God to expand, if a woman is virtous she will gain alot of Godly and human blessings, because God will make her receieve favour even from her enemies, and all that she desires will be granted unto her by God , she will have a stable marriage, good and Godly children, loving in-laws, and neighbours, and every good thing will not elude her.gladsome mind. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of the sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the lord , and in His law doth he meditate day and night, and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he does shall prosper

(Psalm 1;1-3). By Dr(Mrs). M.O. Williams

25/03/2012 ...........SACRIFICE .

I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God(Romans 12:1-2)

Sacrifice is something similar to offering, but different, because it is bigger than offering, and must conform to a certain standard, which is the standard of God, but offering can be anything we choose to give, hence conforming to our own standard, in this case the best offering one can give to God is one's life, hence surrendering one's life to God in total obedience, and trust. God wants us to surrender our lives to Him, and we will easily get what we want from Him, If God requires our service according to His own will, and we choose to serve Him according to our own will, then we are not serving God, instead we are serving ourselves, and since we cannot on our own bless ourself, such self service will not attract God's blessings. And in the process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof, and the Lord had respect unto Abel, and to his offering, but unto Cain and to his offering He had no respect, and Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell (Genesis 4;3-6). Many people refuse to bring good gifts as sacrifice to God, because they felt afterall God will not come down to use or eat it, so they bring rotten fruits, expired or damaged money, and other unworthy gifts to God, and this act will earn them curse, instead of God's blessings, if we look at the story of Cain and Abel, we would realised that what Cain brought sounded too ordinary as a gift for God, the bible said he brought the "fruit of the groung" while the same bible recorded that Abel brought " firstling of his flock, and the fat thereof" hence visually the difference is clear, and because Abel's pffering was special, God had respect for him, in other words, He blessed him so much his brother Cain became jealous, and killed him, and hence earned an eternal curse for himself and his generation . Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin, but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God

(Roman 6;13). It is compulsory for us to offer a beffitting sacrifice unto the Lord, so that we would not be called unrighteous due to our sacrifice, we can offer our body, time, money, talent, children e.t.c unto God as a worthy offering, deserving of God's respect, when we give gifts also to people we should ensure it is something worthy so as for it not to attract problems into our lives due to the receiver's dissatisfaction, infact it is better for us not to offer sacrifice at all, at least such a person's life will remain stagnant and not progressive, than for the person to offer a bad sacrifice and be cursed. May the Lord help us to bring good things into His house and to give good gifts to people, so that we will not invite curse into our lives through our cunning ways.

8/04/2012 ...........Easter Sunday Sermon:

Ressurection is the pillar of salvation. .

Moreover brethren, i declare unto you the gospel which i preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand, by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what i preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain, for i delivered unto you first of all that which i also received, how that christ dies for our sins, according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and tha He rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. (Romans 12:1-4)

The resurrection of Jesus is indeed the pillar of our salvation, Because if Jesus had not risen, everything would not be the way it is now. After God made man, He saw that He was good along with every other thing He created, but where did the problems facing creations come from? it is through the sins we commited in the garden of Eden, so God now had to redeem my from certain death , which is the reward of sin, by sending His only begotten son, Jesus to sacrifice Himself as ranson offering, so that by the shedding of His blood, we are no longer under the curse of the law, that requires our death as penalty for our sins. Because of Jesus's death a bridge has been constructed between God, and mankind, the lost relationship of a father to A child has been restored between us and God Halleluja!!!

22/04/2012 ...........Sunday Sermon:

I WILL OVERCOME .

So many people want to succeed in life, but they are not ready to be resilient, and do not have a winner attitude, when many fall on their way to greatness, they simply take a detour that leads them to nothing, and so many christians are mediocres to the extent that they are always ready to run away from challenge and count their loss, but we all know that only those that win the battles of life shall be glorified, and there is no battle that cannot be won if Jesus is in your life, so in your own interest, if you fall do your best to rise again, and that will be especially easy if christ is in your life, let us look at a biblical example of king David.

And it came to pass when david and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag and burned it with fire, and had taken the women captives, that were therein, they slew not any, either great or small but carried them away, and went their way, so David and his men went into the city, and behold it was burnt with fire, and their wives, and their sons and daughters were taken captives, and David and the men that were with him lifted up their voice and wept till they had no more power in them. (1 Samuel 30:1-4)

In the story above I know we would have seen a similarity in what David did because he had problems, and what we usually do when we have problems, that is to weep or cry, but as the story progresses David, picked himself up and went unto God for help, God told him to pursue the enemy, and he did so, but on the way he met a youngman who had fainted, unknown to him he was one of those that attacked his village and took his wives captive, but because he helped to save the youngman's life by reviving him with food and water, the youngman took him to the enemy camp where he recleimed his lost treasures. So we need to abide by the following rules if we want to be an overcomer;

1. We must seek the face of God always, especially in His house.

2.we must be prayerful, and helpful to others.

3.We must briddle our tongue, and when in problems we should be hopeful so as not to take a rash action that will multiply the problems.

May the lord show us His mercies at all times, and save us from problems in Jesus name. Halleluja!!!
